No more Xavier . . .

Xavier left yesterday after church to go to a long-term home. It's pretty quiet and mellow here this morning without him. It was probably good timing as Clara just got a nasty eye infection yesterday afternoon that we just got antiobiotic drops for this morning at the doctor's office. Super fun.

Pray for little "Xavie" . . . when I dropped him off yesterday, he didn't seem phased that I was leaving, and enthusiastically waved bye to me . . . he has stayed at this family's house two different times in the past three months for respite care, so I figured he assumed he was just staying for a little while this time, too. They are a super family with a teenage son and an 11 year old foster daughter. They are Christians, too, which is awesome. Xavier is going to be able to go to Daycare three mornings a week at a very nice Christian daycare center, which will be really good for him socially and for his speech, in my opinion. Anyway, pray for him, as he is only two and a half and is now in his third home in four months. :(

Also pray for Darius, who is still with us, most likely for a week or possibly until after Christmas. Another great, Christian family has stepped up and is going to take him this weekend while jeremy and I go to a youth retreat for church, and, if things go well, they are, most likely, going to keep him. We might have him stay until Christmas just to make the transition easier, but we'll see. He didn't seem too phased by Xavier leaving . . . but he didn't seem to get it, either. He prayed this morning at breakfast that "Xavier would be able to come back soon and see the Christmas decorations" . . we've told him several times that Xavier isnt' coming back here, and he kind of gets sad for about a second and then moves on.
