Seven quirky things . . .

So, I was tagged and asked to list seven quirky things about myself and then ask five others to do the same. Here goes:

1. I am very afraid of bees . . I guess everyone is to some extent, but Jeremy and I really are.
2. I am addicted to drinking "1/2 and 1/2" which is 1/2 regular pepsi and 1/2 diet pepsi. Yes, I prefer pepsi over coke, and I prefer it to be in a cup with a straw and 1/2 filled with ice. My dad got me started on this. I know I'm kidding myself when I think that it has a significantly less amount of calories in it, but I still feel better when I have it almost everyday.
3. I am a very quirky sleeper . . . I have to have a fan blowing for white noise (I'll even take it places with me, like my parents' house or a motel) and I frequently have night terrors that cause me to scream, yell, and grab/hurt/infuriate Jeremy. He's a good sport.
4. I like to pride myself on my knowledge of sports . . . I can watch a tennis match, basketball, football, or baseball game and not only know what's going on, but know what the plays are, who the players are, and what the referees are calling. However, ask me about hockey or soccer and I don't have a clue.
5. I have a bad habit/fetish (did I spell that correctly?) with picking at things . . . from a zit on my face to the lint in between Clara's toes . . . which she actually enjoys . . I hope I'm not creating a monster out of her, too.
6. I was the Queen of my cute little eastern Washington town, Cashmere, the summer in between my junior and senior years of high school. Had the big white dress, the sash, and the crown and rode in, like 15 parades that summer on a float. "Elbow, elbow, wrist-wrist-wrist!"
7. Finally, I prefer watching just about any rerun of an 80s or 90s TV show to the new sitcoms that are on today. Favorites include Bill Cosby (best show of ALL time!) Full House, Little House on the Prairie, 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, Home Improvement . . . the list could go on.

So, since this is our family blog, here are a few quirky things about Jeremy:

1. When he has a cold or allergies (which is pretty much year-round) he hates to have any mucus built up in his throat, so he makes this sound that clears his throat and then almost a spit-producing other sound . .. you'd have to hear it . . it's quite pleasant.
2. He is a "Nike snob" . . . he will only buy Nike shoes and athletic apparel . . no Reebok or Addidas for him.
3. For being such a sports nut, he refuses to root for any Seattle based team, except for the Seahawks. He spreads out his love to North Carolina basketball, Texas Longhorn football, Texas Rangers MLB baseball, Raiders NFL football, and a few others. He's NOT a big fan of the NBA.
4. He has terrible athlete's foot (or at least we think that's what is is) that he doesn't really treat properly. When we first got married, I was sure that I would get it, too, but I haven't. (Praise the Lord!)
5. He has two pairs of what we call "giraffe pants" . . they are pajama bottoms that my aunt made for him for Christmas years ago that have a giraffe kind of print on them . . he wears them while lounging around the house constantly.

I haven't come up with anything quirky for Clara yet, but I'm sure that she, being the product of Jeremy and I, will have some pretty soon!

I think that most of my friends who have blogs have already been tagged with this . . . I have no idea if any of these people will do this or not:
1. Mary Rhoden . . . you can do it during your plan period at school! Just kidding . . .
2. Sarabeth . . . I'd like to see what she comes up with
3. Amber . . . I think she'll have a hard time stopping at only seven things!
4. Shari Schock . . . if she hasn't had her baby yet.
5. Crystal . . . I'd really like to see what she comes up with, too . . .

I don't have a blog to post on, but I immediately started thinking of quirky things about myself. Very entertaining! Your list cracked me up. I'm loving keeping up with your life by reading your blog, but we'll have to chat again soon so we can go a little more in-depth!

I actually thought of you to "tag" but I know you don't have a blog and I didn't know where you would share the information. We do need to chat again soon!
