Poo-poo in the potty chair!
Xavier's mom wrote me a note a few weeks ago saying that Xavier has gone poop in a potty chair for her, but, at the time, I didn't feel like having him try to do it here. However, today I decided to give it a try. Yesterday, he went in his diaper right after some fidgeting in his high chair and not paying attention to his lunch . . . well, today, he did the same type of fidgeting and not eating, so I asked him, "Do you need to go poo-poo?" and he nodded and said "Poo-poo?" I still wasn't convinced, since he is a big time mimicker, but I thought I'd put him on the little potty chair we have and see what happened. So, I got him down and had him sit there. I said, "Go poo-poo, Xavier" and did a little grunting, pooping face, which he mimicked, and then proceeded to make a phone call. Five minutes later, I went over there, and sure enough, he had gone! So, we made a big deal out of it with high fives, saying goodbye to it as it went down the toilet, and washing our hands afterwards. I really have no idea how to potty-train, and I don't really intend to potty-train him, but it was nice to have him do that today. :) What a good boy!
