Do the Puyallup . . .

Jeremy and I have always loved the Puyallup fair. We basically go to eat, look at the Photography building, eat, maybe see some of the crazy "as seen on TV" kinds of things to buy, eat, and watch a show or two. Oh, and then we eat again, and come home with a stomachache. This year, we went, just the two of us, last night for a date night, and we also took the kids last Friday. For our date night, we ended with walking over to the grandstands to see if we could hear "Smokey Mountain Rain" by Ronnie Milsap, and, when I noticed that the grandstands were free seating for his concert, it made not only Jeremy's night but his whole week! We sat up there for about 20 minutes, and he was really bummed when we had to leave to go relieve Steve and Sarabeth, who had the kids . . . and he didn't get to hear his song! (Such a hick . . . but I love him anyway!) But, we had fun and it was nice to go without the kids.

It was also fun (more work, but fun) to take some kids this year, too. I wish, wish, wish that I could put some pictures of the boys on here because I got some really cute ones, but since Jeremy and I were just looking at TNT news articles on their brother online, I don't think that they need to be on the Internet. Maybe the next kids. Anyway, they had fun, especially Darius. We saw the animals, had free chocolate milk, free fudge, did the handwashing/black light station (which was really cool, I thought), did the little learn to fish and get a free prize thing, and let them ride a few rides, including Darius riding the giant slide with me! They also had a sack lunch there and some cotton candy. I can't believe how much all of that costs, and we didn't even do much! Clara and Xavier sat in the double stroller, courtesy of the Hackers, and just watched everything. Clara then fell asleep on me while I was carrying her for a few minutes, which, of course, made my day. Here are a few pictures of Clara, since she's the only one I can put on here.
