I have actually changed a LOT in the past month! Mommy and Daddy kinda want me to slow down a little in terms of my new "feats," but I'm just too much of a go-getter!1. I started crawling about 2 weeks ago. I spent about 3-4 days being annoyed that I couldn't do it, and then it just clicked. It has taken me a few days to get going with much speed. Now that I can crawl, I don't really have much interest in my toys anymore . . I'd rather go across rooms to get into things that I'm not supposed to and put them in my mouth!
2. I can sit up, get into a sitting up position, and, just today, I caught myself when I was falling back. Because I can sit up, I will do that in my crib when it's time to get up, or sometimes in the middle of a nap and just cry. I also play "peek-a-boo" with mommy in the mornings with my bumpers on the crib, but sometimes when I'm not wanting to sleep, I try to push down the bumpers to see if someone is there, and when they're not, I cry.
3. I am still not really into eating that much. I have eaten sweet potatoes, squash, pears, peaches, applesauce, carrots, and diced peaches. When I was with Grandma and grandpa last week, I had a lot of "puffs" which I can feed myself, and now those are my favorite. Mommy is trying to teach me to sign "more," "please," and "all done" but I haven't gotten it yet.
4. Just today, I pulled myself up to a table and stood up, over at the Hacker's house. Crazy!
5. I also just started babbling with a "bah-bah" sound instead of just vowel sounds, and mommy and daddy think it's pretty cute.
I'm having fun with life! A few more weeks and then I'll have to share mommy and daddy with foster kids, so we'll have to see how that goes! :)

Clara, slow down I can't catch up if you keep progressing at this rate, I can't even sit yet. Love, your friend Opal
Holy cow! What's next, calculus?!? We're still cheering for Opal if she can successfully keep down half the rice cereal we shovel in her mouth. Way to go Clara!
Well, Johnsons . . remember that Clara is almost a month older than Opal, AND she has the most go-getter personality I've ever seen! We're excited with all she's doing, but it's a pain, too! :) I think she bonks her head about 10 times/day right now.
