It's that time again? My babies are starting to morph into toddlers .. . slowly, but surely. Just tonight I needed to pull out the video camera, but couldn't find it, to get a recording of Savannah, walking across the floor pushing a stand-up push toy with wheels. All the way across the playroom. Good grief, are we there already? Yep.
Both babies are now expert and fast crawlers, and also stand up and hold on to things and walk around them. We swapped coffee tables with my parents, which has been MUCH safer for them. It is lower adn has rounded corners. They are also both crawling up the stairs, so I can't keep them in the playroom anymore and be up in the kitchen, or they'll try to come get me. I think I'm gonna have to break down and buy a gate for that set of stairs and probably one for the big stairs, too, since Jeremy let them each climb all the way up those tonight, "just to see if they could do it." Uh, yeah, they can. And we don't want them to.
Currently, they are both in the middle of getting LOTS of teeth, both on top and bottom, so I think that's waking them a few times at night, especially Emma. Emma is having a screaming fit for about an hour every night, which, naturally wakes Sav up, poor thing. We're trying not to give them bottles, but it's hard . . . it seems to really soothe Emma and help her go back to sleep. Because of the teething, and due to a little bit of some runny noses, both girls have been kind of fussy lately, even during the day.
Neither of them seem to want to learn sign language too badly . . I work on it when I can and when I remember to, but, unfortunately, I'm not very good about being strong and not giving them more food when they whine. We're just too busy around here! When they're hungry, they're HUNGRY, too! These two can eat! They eat lots of noodles, bread, waffles, pancakes, chicken, deli meat, string cheese, peas, carrots, green beans, avocado, corn, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, banana, and grapes. We've pretty much stopped the baby food, which is easier for me, but I have a ton of it in my pantry now that's just sitting there. I also wish that I could get them to eat sweet potatoes and squash cooked and cut up, because it seems like that's one of the foods that they'll eat pureed, but then move on from it in toddlerhood.
Love these two babies a ton, and can't believe how quickly they are growing! We're gonna have to move them out of infant carseats pretty soon...
My dad took these pictures the other night when Jeremy took the girls up to my parents' house. I haven't taken too many pics lately. I can totally tell which baby is which in these pictures, which really excites me! They look really different to me right now, even in their faces. Emma's is more rounded to me, and their smiles are really distinct, too. Jeremy doesn't think so . . he was just saying tonight that they look a lot alike right now to him. it's funny how we have stages with that...

They are SO cute! Of course, now I want a girl, but I would be happy with another boy. I'll just have to relish your pictures of girls if I don't have one.
