Why I love Alex and Elizabeth

Here are a few pictures, first, of Clara, my dad, and my sister, Sara at the Cashmere pool this past week. I wish, wish, wish that we could post pictures of the girls on here, since they are so beautiful, but I'm not allowed.

We are going on almost three weeks with the girls, and I have to say that I am just in love with them! We thought they were going to be going back to dad last week, then their social worker thought they would by this weekend, but now it's looking like it will be at least another week. Fine with me! I would love to just have them all summer, if it were up to me, but they are ready to go live with dad. We just got back from 4 days in Cashmere at my parents' house, and they were super fun to take over there! Here are some reasons they are so great:

1. They entertain themselves so well, and can be very quiet about it, too! Liz, especially, will just sit and read, draw, write for hours by herself, and Alex loves to ride the bike around in circles forever, too. They were great in the car all the way to Cashmere and back, plus up to Mansfield for Jeremy's VBS, too.

2. They are a big help with Clara, especially Alex. She held the mini-DVD player for an hour each way for Clara to watch "Go Diego, Go" and she also will pick her up when she's getting into stuff she shouldn't, amongst other ways of helping.

3. They are a lot of fun and easy to please. In Cashmere, we went to the pool every afternoon for several hours, and they loved it! We are going to make t-shirts for the 4th of July tomorrow, and they have done lots of other craftsy things, too. They eat well, and are so polite and thankful for everything!

4. They sleep well and really have not put up a fuss about going to bed before it's dark at all. They will read in bed sometimes, but we never hear thumping around and we never have to go up and threaten them to "go to bed!" Soooo nice. :)

5. My favorite thing, by far: They sing to all the songs on Spirit 105.3! They came from another foster home where they'd been for 3 months, and, apparantly that's all that was playing over there, because they know all the songs. They sing especially loud to all the Toby Mac stuff. Love. It.
