I'm half a year old!

We had a busy weekend, and I meant to post for Clara's six month birthday, which was Friday, but now I'm getting to it. I haven't even had time to take pictures, but I'm in Cashmere visiting my parents right now, and my dad got these great shots yesterday at the city pool. This is Clara at six months:

1. I am maybe one of the busiest little babies ever! I never stop moving, and mom and dad are having a hard time feeding me right now because I squirm and wiggle all over the place. Food is not really a big deal to me. I barely finish my bottles that mom forces me to stop playing long enough to eat, and I eat a few bites of sweet potatoes or squash, but only with a lot of prodding.
2. Mom is trying to teach me sign language: "all done," "more" and "please" . . . I just smile at her when she takes my hands to make me do it. But mom feels it's time to start that process because I whine a lot right now in frustration of not being able to communicate more and not being able to crawl yet even though I really want to!
3. I can sit up for a few minutes at a time, when I'm really working at it. I roll all over the place and scoot on my tummy to get to things I want. I can play with toys by myself on the floor, but I'd rather be with someone.
4. I love the water!
5. I'm sleeping about 9-10 hours at night, plus at least two 2-hour naps and maybe one more 1.0-1.5 hour nap per day. I'm getting good at being able to sleep in places other than my crib.
6. No teeth yet, but I drool a lot and put everything in my mouth. I also blow bubbles, sometimes in an almost frantic mode . . mommy thinks it's to relieve some sort of gum irritation.

All in all, I'm healthy and loving life!
