Update on the boys . . . pray for them, please!

Cody and Justin's social worker came over today for a visit. I guess their visit with mom last Wednesday was not positive, and she was not very kind to Justin. Then, she cancelled her visit with them today. So, the social worker is not thrilled with her at the moment. There is a possibility of them living with their grandma in California, or maybe back with their aunt, who lives around here. In the meantime, though, the state has decided to really crack down on only having Receiving Care homes last for 30 days . . . no exceptions. Like, they won't pay beyond that. So, the social worker was very determined that they are out of here on the 24th of the month, and told them that.

That's how the program is supposed to work, but, of course it didn't for Darius and Xavier, so we're kind of feeling like, "We'll believe it when we see it." I am actually not really wanting these guys to be rushed out of here so soon, for a few reasons. One, I really like them. :) Two, I get nervous that, if they rush it, they'll just be thrown into the first home they can find, instead of really giving it time to find the right home. I felt very confident taking Darius and Xavier to their two homes when they left, and they were both Christian homes.

Please pray for them.

Kerry Ann, the placement coordinator for Receiving Care at Youth For Christ, says that there are a few families waiting for their licenses to be finalized and one in particular would maybe be a good fit for the boys. Pray that they are ready in the next two weeks.

On another note completely: Clara is saying, "Uh Oh" for EVERYTHING right now! So cute! I need to get her on video tape, but she's a stinker about that, and will stop whatever cute thing she's doing the second the camera comes out and just try to get the camera. I need a hidden one or something. :)
